| La plupart font du matériel exprès pour Windows. Ça n’aide pas beaucoup Linux.

tu ne peux pas dire "il", linux n'est pas qu'un simple système d'exploitation ! C'est un noyau (kernel)
Le noyau des distributions linux et le kernel linux !
Le noyeau de windaube et windaube NT.
Or, si les distributions sont tous différentes, sache qu'il y a en une qui s'apelle mepis et qui reconnait presque tout le matériel windaube (j'ai essayer et vraiment été impressioner par celle la)
Donc tu ne peux pas en venir a cette conclusion !
Par exemple :
Mandriva, reconnu pour sa simplicité
Ubuntu, sa simplicité plus sa stabilité
Debian, sa stabilité EXTREME
Mepis, sa détection matérielle ÉNORME
etc.... etc... sur mon prochain ordi je prend linux  la j'ai pas envi de formater mon pc avec le gm6 de la revanche des stickmen
